VALID PROCEDURES
The PolicePsyc pre-employment testing process utilizes widely accepted and well-validated instruments to accurately assess each candidate's aptitudes and personality traits. The core of our test battery has been directly correlated with police officer performance through a criterion-validation research study.
All testing is done online, and it can be done either in a client's office or at a location convenient to the candidate. A virtual oral interview can be added to the process, at an additional fee.
RECOGNIZED INSTRUMENTS
The PolicePsyc process includes the following aptitude tests and personality inventories:
Employee Aptitude Survey Tests 1A, 6A, 7A and 7B; the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator; and the California Psychological Inventory, Form 434.
MATCHING CANDIDATES TO THE POSITION
Measuring candidates' strengths and weaknesses against the requirements of law enforcement positions is our specialty. We are one of the few firms that has directly researched the skills, abilities and personal characteristics required in this field. We have over forty years' experience working with law enforcement agencies, and we have tested over 12,000 candidates for law enforcement positions.
TIMELY RESULTS
Test results immediately are transmitted to our office, where an assessment can begin. At times circumstances may dictate that you make a rapid hiring decision. We understand this kind of urgency, and we can provide verbal feedback to a client as soon as we receive a candidate's test results. A written report on the candidate will follow within one or two working days.
